Seeing Stripes

A friend of mine from Istanbul recently came to visit me in London. I’ve known her for some time; not usually in the context of model/ photographer, but I decided to bring my new camera (Canon 80D) along for the ride anyway.

Thinking along similar lines (pun intended) it turned out that she had brought an extra outfit – a black and white stripy Crop Top and Mini-Skirt – in addition to the striped trousers that she already had on.

Crème de La Mer Skin Care


Living in a metropolis such as London city, with all the airborne pollution that we’re exposed to, it’s vital that we take care of our skin, not cause it any further damage, and find products that nourish as well as replenish it.

Knowing what’s going onto and into our bodies though can be tough to keep up with, and with so many brands on the market, it can seem like being lost in a maze just trying to find one that suits our skin.

Most of us are normally so busy that we haven’t the time either to gallivant the high streets experimenting with different products and demystifying the technical chemical words. A quick trip to your local health-food store or beauty department though can be an eye-opening and enlightening experience.

Before investing in a new product it’s probably best to ask for a sample or tester to try out on a small area of your skin so that you can be sure you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients. Most companies will be more than willing to offer this service.

I was given a demonstration, an introduction to the range, and a moisturiser sample to take home and try by a brand named “Creme de La Mer”. I was also intrigued by the “miracle broth” ingredient developed by Max Huber which is contained within their products.
