Because some things you just have to share…

A friend of mine from Istanbul recently came to visit me in London. I’ve known her for some time; not usually in the context of model/ photographer, but I decided to bring my new camera (Canon 80D) along for the ride anyway.
Thinking along similar lines (pun intended) it turned out that she had brought an extra outfit – a black and white stripy Crop Top and Mini-Skirt – in addition to the striped trousers that she already had on.
After scrolling through a September ’16 edition of Vogue magazine, I recently came across a section entitled “KNOW THIS FACE”, under which I discovered the fashion model sensation Iman Perez – currently represented by agencies NEXT MODELS and STORM MANAGEMENT.
Aside from the sustainability and ethics movement, it’s not often that one would equate fashion with current affairs, and so after hearing (via Instagram) of Iman’s recent campaign to raise funds for homeless orphans in Morocco, I was intrigued and compelled to inquire.
It was during SS16 that I decided to concentrate more on fashion video rather than solely stills and I’m super thankful that some very talented artists from The London College of Fashion were excited to join me in making that happen.
The first is a series entitled “Juxtapose” which was a collaboration between myself Timothy Ward, model/ actress Donna Sherifi, stylist Joanna Kr, designers Clarissa Kang x Umme Salma and Arianna Mele.
Today I was given a first-hand introduction to a world of shoes that I never knew existed. After doing a little research I can now see how late I was to the party.
Italian designer Giuseppe Zanotti’s footwear designs instantly captivated me, as they have many a celebrity so I hear.
The lofty price tags ensure exclusivity, which makes them all the more appealing to a select few. Not only that though – I mean, there’s no denying a badass pair of sneakers.
